The Fayette County Community School Program is offering afternoon Open Gym for middle and high school students at the LaFayette Educational Center beginning March 15. The LaFayette Educational Center is the old Fayette County High School facility located on LaFayette Avenue in Fayetteville.

For middle school students, the Open Gym will be on Monday and Wednesdays from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Students will be allowed to play basketball and volleyball each day with several organized contests, such as free throw shooting and 3-on-3 to be scheduled parts of the activities. You may sign up for a six week period of the open gym from Mar. 15- Apr. 28, and attend any or all sessions for a cost of $25.

The High School Open Gym will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Mar. 16 and going through Apr. 29, also from 4:30-6:30 p.m. These sessions will not meet during the week of Spring Break, the first week of April. Cost for high school students is also $25 for the six week session.
