Mary Whelchel, Popular Speaker, Author, and Radio Host to Speak at First Baptist PTC

Three times a year, the Women's Ministry (W.I.N.G.S.) at First Baptist Peachtree City provides a program of encouragement and instruction for the women of First Baptist and the community. At these special events, we offer a meal, inspirational drama and music, and a relevant speaker for women to enjoy. It is our goal to pamper the participants with beautiful surroundings, warm conversations, and Christian love.

Thursday, March 25, 6:30-8:30 PM, W.I.N.G.S. has invited Mary Whelchel, author, speaker, and radio host, to be the featured speaker. Mary Whelchel resides in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois, where she established The Christian Working Woman radio program in 1984. The program is heard on over 500 radio stations nationally and internationally. Mary will speak to us on the subject of her recent book, What Would Jesus Think?

If you had to choose one word to describe Mary's style, it would probably be the word "practical." She has unique ways to making the Word of God come alive. She always gives practical teaching that can be readily applied to every woman's life. Her style is open and vulnerable, Bible-based and relevant.

In addition to managing her radio ministry and its staff, Mary is the Director of Women's Ministries for The Moody Church in Chicago. She has written eight books. Mary loves to encourage women to see their worth in Christ and challenges them to greater growth in their Christian life and their outreach to others.

The cost of this event is $7. Childcare is free with paid reservations by 3/21. To purchase tickets or get further information, call or go by First Baptist Church PTC, 208 Willowbend Rd., (770)487-8133, ext. 215.
