Jesus Video Update Corner

Area churches are continuing to encourage their members to pray for their neighbors during this Easter season. Individuals are taking 5 minutes to pray specifically for five neighbors. Networking cards are being mailed out to let neighbors know who else has committed to pray in their neighborhood. Over 800 households have committed to pray cooperatively for their neighbors, and as a result, neighborhood prayer groups are springing up all over the county. The JOY FM is planning to sponsor a focus on caring for our neighbors through prayer and random acts of kindness during the month of March.

Much to the disappointment of the leadership of the local Jesus video project, the state funding is short of its goal. The videos will not be mailed out at Easter as previously planned. Due to this situation, leaders of the community are seeking the funds to mail the videos out locally as soon as possible. Several churches have collected love offerings for this project with offerings totaling over $30,000. We will need $105,000 to mail every home in Fayette County. It is our hope to partner with Coweta County in this mailing. If our funding coincides with the state reaching its goal, we will partner with the state effort.
