Two veterans of the mortgage loan industry in the Metro South area have joined the corporate staff of Southern Crescent Mortgage in Fayetteville. John R. Fortener is the company's new vice president/production, while Nancy W. Eisenhut is underwriting manager. Fortener has nearly 14 years of experience in the mortgage loan industry, working principally in the Metro South area. He was with his previous company for three year, being named as that firm's Loan Officer of the Month five times last year and was Loan Officer of the Year for 1997. Fortener, who is a Fayette County resident, has also owned his own mortgage firm and has served as an account executive with two other major mortgage companies. Mrs. Eisenhut has been in the mortgage loan business for nearly 26 years, spending 10 years of that time in Texas and the rest in the Metro South area of Atlanta. She previously served as underwriting manager for Griffin Federal Savings Bank for five of those years and was with Home South Mortgage for the past year. A native Georgian, she now resides with her family in the White Oak area of Newnan. Southern Crescent Mortgage & Investment Corp. was founded in early 1990. The company's headquarters is located at 145 West Lanier Ave. in Fayetteville, and there are branch offices in Stockbridge and Kennesaw. The company offers all types of conforming and non-conforming loans, including conventional, first time homebuyer programs, FHA, VA, Farmers Home loans, second mortgages, lines of credit, and construction loans.
