Re: Police and teens.

I am really sick of hearing about the manner in which the Peachtree City Police Department is allegedly treating teens, and I am disgusted at the notion that the community would be less supportive to the department due to this controversy.

Let's be real here for a moment folks! How many of you are willing to be a victim of an accident due to the carelessness of a teen behind the wheel of a car? How many of you are prepared to be wakened in the middle of the night to learn that your teenage son or daughter lost control of his or her car at a high rate of speed on the Peachtree City Parkway and killed him/herself or someone else?

I don't know about the rest of you, but the above scenario is bone-chilling to me. As a mother of twins that are teens, I for one would prefer the Peachtree City police be a bit overprotective/overbearing than to slack up on teens because I'm not willing to bury either of my teens. I love them too much to risk it.
