Twelve teens have been charged with offenses related to a group fight Feb. 26 at the American Foods Grocery on Sandy Creek Road, according to Fayette County Sheriff's Department investigator Lt. Mahlon Donald. Donald said the fight apparently had to do with something that happened at a prior Sandy Creek-Fayette County high school basketball game, and "finally boiled over." One of the students videotaped the incident, he said, and the FCSD was able to get the videotape after it was given to a school administrator. Donald enumerated the following charges connected with the incident: Five Sandy Creek students were charged Rahman Shaheed, 17, simple battery; Chris Blanchard, 17, aggravated assault; Jason Davis, 17, affray; Kenneth Brewton, 17, simple battery, and a juvenile, simple battery. Four Fayette County High School students were charged Brandon Shropshire, 18, simple battery; Jonathan Clark, 18, affray; Oscar Laster, 17, simple battery; a juvenile, simple battery. Three non-students were charged Joe Moman, 17, affray; Eric Price, 19, of Peachtree City, simple battery; and Rashad Majeed, 17, affray.
