Lillian Brown

Lillian Janelle Brown, 67, Newnan, died Feb. 10, 1999. She was born Nov. 7, 1931 in Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Brown.

Graveside services were held at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating.

Survivors include daughters, Linda Jordan, Newnan and Becky Eubanks, Jonesboro; sisters, Joyce Warnock, Manchester, Tenn. and Elsie Lee, Pinehurst, N.C.; grandchildren, Lynn Dorminy, Cindy Bray, Eddie Eubanks, Barbara Mazur and Josh Jordan; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Dakota, Haley and Alex.

Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge of the arrangements.

Joseph Dantoni

Joseph E. Dantoni, 78, Senoia, died Feb. 25, 1999. He was born Nov. 2, 1920 in Baltimore, Md.

A memorial mass was held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Peachtree City, with Father John Walsh officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen K. Dantoni, Senoia; sons, Michael Edward Dantoni, Senoia and Thomas Edward Dantoni, Bricktown, N.J.; a daughter, Kathleen Mary Wickham, Bath, England; grandchildren, James Dantoni, Matthew Dantoni and Rachel Dantoni, all of Douglasville, Sean Dantoni, Brian Dantoni and Lisa Dantoni, all of Bricktown, N.J.; and a sister-in-law, Mary and Joseph Robertson, Peachtree City.

Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge of the arrangements.

Delma Gay

Delma Pierce Gay, 67, Sharpsburg, died Feb. 23, 1999. He was born on Nov. 11, 1931 in Eastman, Ga., the son of the late William Arthur and Nina Gay.

Services were held at the Parrot Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Oak Grove Church Cemetery, Hazelhurst, Ga.

Survivors include a son, Randall J. Gay, Sharpsburg;, daughters, Vicki Carter, Sharpsburg and Lori Robinson, Newnan; brothers, Adrian Gay, Jacksonville, Derwin Gay, Hazelhurt, Wendell Ryals, Fayetteville; sisters, Edna Van Sickle, Jacksonville, Irene Dubose, Lumpkin, a sister, Geraldine Barton, Parrott; and Daryl Stanfield, Albany; and grandchildren, Kaylee Robinson, Newnan, and Jacob Carter, Joshua Carter, Jenna Gay and Jessica Gay, all of Sharpsburg.

Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge of the arrangements.

Jessie Potts

Jessie W. Potts, 41, Newnan, died Feb. 28, 1999. He was born May 12, 1957 in LaGrange, Ga.

Services were held at the Parrott Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Plott officiating. Interment was at Holly Hill Memorial Park, Fairburn.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Potts, Newnan; daughter, Sherry Potts, Newnan; mother and stepfather, Elaine and David Bryant, Newnan; a brother, Marcus Bryant, Newnan; and a sister, Gail Boyd, Palmetto.

Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge of the arrangements.

Erna Tolbert

Erna Lois Tolbert, 99, Griffin, died March 2, 1999. She was born Jan. 5, 1900 in Butts County, Ga., the daughter of Edmond Mumford and Eliza Roberts Wooten. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lamar Tolbert and children, Laverne Tolbert, Lorena Murdock and Jack Tolbert.

She had been employed at Dundee Mills as a textile worker.

Services were held at the McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, with Boyd Goss, Steve Goss and Dennis Goss officiating. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Griffin.

Survivors include a son, Harold Franklin (Frankie) Tolbert; a daughter, Myrtle Rose and David Goss, Newnan; and grandchildren, Dennis Goss, Boyd and Angelyn Goss, Jr., Frank and Mary Jean Kimble, Carol Tolbert, Gary and Kay Tolbert, Glenn and Debbie Tolbert, Harold and Diane Tolbert, Jerry and Margaret Tolbert and Paten and Burnett Tolbert.

There are 16 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

James Pitts, Sr.

James Durwood Pitts, Sr., 68, Lineville, Ala., died March 1, 1999. He was born Oct. 21, 1930 in Newnan and was a resident of that city until 1987. He was the son of the late James Roscoe and Bertha Ludell Broome Pitts. He was retired from the United States Army National Guard and as a heating and air conditioning maintenance engineer at James Rivers.

He was an avid fisherman, hunter and golfer.

Services were held at the McKoon Funeral Home Chapel with Franklin Treadwell officiating. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Pitts, Lineville, Ala.; a son, Jamie and Beth Pitts, Duluth, Ga.; a daughter, Debra and Wendell Lee, Carrollton; a sister, Janet Tucker, Newnan; and brothers-in-law, James Herman Tucker and W. L. "Bill" Tucker, both of Newnan.

There are four grandchildren.
