The second concert in the 1998-99 Freight Room Music Studio Concert Series was presented recently to a sold-out audience in the restored Inman train station. Professional musician Stephen Musker performed selections by Teleman, Mozart, Clarke, Marsalis and a jazz arrangement of "Amazing Grace" on the trumpet, flugelhorn and piccolo trumpet. Jana Minter accompanied Musker on the piano and harpsichord. Musker recently retired from the United States Army Ground Forces Band. He now lives and teaches in Ellenwood and is the Principal Trumpet with the Southern Crescent Symphony Orchestra. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Matthew Twenty Eight Foundation, a charity that operates an orphanage and feeding center in Haiti. The final concert of the season will be May 7 and 8. Jana Minter will perform a Bach Prelude and Fugue on the harpsichord, the Faure "Impromptu" on the harp, and the Beethoven "Waldstein" sonata on the piano.
