Jesus video update corner

A meeting of the Jesus Video Project coordinators of Fayette County churches will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Peachtree City, 208 Willowbend Rd., to follow-up from the prayer rally and make decisions regarding video distribution. Anyone interested in the video project is welcome to attend.

Organizers of the Jesus Video Project Georgia are encouraging Christians to pray each day between now and March 28 for specific areas related to the mailout. During these 40 days of prayer, Christians are also being asked to consider fasting each Monday. The prayer requests for this week are:

Today: Pray for funding. Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

Thursday: Pray for the behavior of Christians in Georgia. Matthew 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Friday: Pray for church coordinators. Colossians 3:23-24 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Saturday: Pray that businesses adopt Christian principles. Philippians 1:27 Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel.

Sunday: Pray for the resurrection of Christianity in Georgia. Ezekiel 37:13-14 Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken and I have done it, declares the Lord.

Monday: Pray for the empowering of pastors across Georgia. II Timothy 4:2,5 Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage with great patience and careful instruction. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardships, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

Tuesday: Pray for the leadership of the Georgia Jesus Video Project. Galatians 6:9-10 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

Excerpt from the Unity Prayer Rally, held Feb. 7 at First Baptist Church of Peachtree City:

Gray Harwell, who runs a ministry leaders' support organization called Cherith Ministries, led the Christians at the rally in three specific prayers: for the unsaved in the local neighborhoods, for the successful formation of groups of prayer partners, or neighborhood houses of prayer, and for the leaders, including pastors and Jesus Video Project Georgia organizers.
