playing at Landmark Friday A concert Friday at Landmark Christian School in Fairburn brings together "plumb," and "linger," two Christian rock bands well-known to the area. The concert starts at 7 p.m. with tickets $5 in advance and $7 at the door. For more information or directions call 770-306-0647, extension 227. The "plumb" group's lead vocalist, Tiffany Arbuckle, is a 1993 graduate of Fayette County High School. The group has received very favorable reviews in the trade press. The album "plumb" is described as "layered deep in textured guitar and inventive, looped rhythms." The group has toured extensively with "Jars of Clay." Other members of the group include Joe Porter on drums; Matt Stanfield, keyboards and programming; Thad Beaty, lead guitars, and B.J. Aberle, bass. A new CD is expected to be released in April. "Linger" focuses its music ministry on reaching as many people as possible. The band's name comes from Habbakuk 2:3: "For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay." Members of "linger" include Cregg Gibson, lead singer; Joel Walker, drummer; Ben Bishop, guitarist, and Matt Schwartz, bass. |
