Janis Chaney

Janis Lindsay Chaney, 57, Jonesboro, died Jan. 31, 1999. She was born Feb. 5, 1941 in Jefferson, Mo.

Memorial services were held at the Carl J. Mowell Chapel, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Carol Cook officiating.

Survivors include a daughter, Kelli and Charles White and a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Marie White, all of Senoia.

Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge of the arrangements.

William Coleman

William (Bill) Coleman, 83, Tyrone, died Feb. 4, 1999. He was born Dec. 9, 1915 in Fulton County, Ga. He was preceded in death by his wife, two sons, a daughter, and a grandson, Randy Coleman.

Services were held at The Rock Baptist Church, Tyrone, with the Rev. Derrell Hudgins and the Rev. Billy Whittenburger officiating. Interment was at the church cemetery.

Survivors include daughters, Gail and John W. Sorrow, Fayetteville, Carol and Douglas A. Jones, Palmetto; sisters, Irene Hembree, Atlanta, Ruby Lee Baldridge, Newnan, Daisy Barbour, Newnan, Nell Coleman, Newnan, Dorothy McCain, and Peggy Bagwell; grandchildren, Jerry Coleman, Donna Terry, Ann Weese, David White, Michael White, Deborah Leonard, Cassie Jones, Debbie Cook, Alan Sorrow and Matthew Sorrow; and stepmother, Ruby Melton, Mableton.

Memorial donations may be made to The Rock Baptist Church Building Fund, Sandy Creek Road, Fayetteville, Ga. 30214.

Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge of the arrangements.

Margaret Sullivan

Margaret Frances Sullivan, 88, Sharpsburg, died Feb. 4, 1999. She was born Nov. 18, 1910 in Fulton County, Ga.

Services were held at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Stewart Ave., Atlanta with the Rev. Tom Edwards officiating. Interment was at the church cemetery.

Survivors include daughters, Barbara and Harry Goss, Sharpsburg, Eddie Jean and Walter Hudson, Eatonton, Ga.; a brother, Patrick Lynch, Riverdale; sisters, Mary Allen, Gray, Ga., and Martha Camilla Endsley, Douglasville.

There are 13 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and eight great-greatgrandchildren.

Ellen Jungwirth

Ellen Jungwirth, 83, Newnan, died Feb. 4, 1999. She was born Feb. 11, 1915 in Winnebago County, Wis., the daughter of Michael and Rose Sherwowski Rutkowski.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oshkosh, Wis.

Services were held at the Poklasny Funeral Home Chapel, Wis. with Fr. Martin Fox officiating. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Oshkosh, Wis.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Mentink, Newnan; grandchildren, Lynn Blair, Larry Mentink and Julie Rainey, all of Newnan; a great-granddaughter, Holly Blair, Newnan; and a sister, Margaret Keup, Oshkosh, Wis.

Martin and Hightower Hillcrest Chapel, Newnan, was in charge of the local arrangements.

E. Paul Warren

E. Paul Warren, 80, Canongate, died Feb. 7, 1999. He was born Sept. 25, 1918 in Coweta County, Ga., the son of Emmett Paul and Emmye Witcher Warren, Sr.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Corps of Engineers in the European Theatre. He was also a member of the Canongate Golf Club.

He was owner and operator of Warren's Auto Parts in Mableton, Smyrna and Powder Springs.

Services were held at the Hillcrest Chapel with Dr. Harold D. Zwald, the Rev. Greg George and the Rev. Mike Hardy officiating. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan.

Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Morris Warren, Canongate; brothers, Claude W. Warren, Johnson City, Tenn., L. Hoyt Warren and G. Sidney Warren, both of Newnan; and sisters, Martha W. Whitlock, Newnan and Susan W. and George D. Johnston, Virginia Beach, Va.

Memorial contributions may be made to Palmetto Baptist Church, P.O. Box 860, Palmetto, Ga., 30268 or the Sargent Baptist Church, P.O. Box 189, Sargent, Ga., 30275.

John Neill

John C. Neill, 85, Senoia, died Feb. 8, 1999. He was born Sept. 21, 1913 in Coweta County, Ga., the son of Jim C. and Lizzie Brooks Neill.

He had been a textile worker with over 30 years service at Southern Mills.

Services were held at the Bethel United Methodist Church, Senoia, with the Rev. Ken Hamilton and the Rev. Matthew Martin officiating. Interment was at the Senoia City Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Tessie H. Hannah, Senoia; children, Franklin Neill, Emmitt Neill, Willie Neill Lindsey and Shielda Hayes, all of Senoia and Shirley Martin, Newnan; a brother, Harvey Neill, Senoia; and sisters, Mattie McLemore, Sharpsburg and Mary Hinsley, Kissimmee, Fla.

There are nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church, Senoia.

Mildred Platt

Mildred Platt, 82, Newnan, died Feb. 10, 1999. She was born Oct. 21, 1916 in Newnan, the daughter of John Henderson and Eula Leverett Couch.

Services were held at the Hillcrest Chapel with Dr. Harry Barrow officiating. Interment was at Oak Hill, Newnan.

Survivors include a son, Ed and Teresa Platt, Lawrenceville, Ga., grandchildren, Forest Platt, Atlanta and Karen Platt and Keith Platt, both of Lawrenceville; and a nephew, Ted Taylor, Peachtree City.
