A record crowd gathered last week to watch some of the county's best young performers at the annual Kiwanis Talent Show at Starr's Mill High School. Taking top honors in performance was the band "Four of a Kind," with members Mike Melton, Matt Melton, Tristan Flynn and Jason Sutton. First place in the parallel art show, on display at the Peachtree City Library, went to Eric Simonson. These winners will compete in the state talent show in Macon. Other winners, first through fourth places, in the grade level categories were as follows: First and Second Grade Talent: Kelly Harrison, Abteen Komaee, Chase Martin and Rennie Richardson; Third and Fourth Grade Talent: Andrew Zheng, Mallory Tarter, Drew Wiemann and Hannah Wilder; Fifth and Sixth Grade Talent: Johanna Bradley, Elliott Watts, Brittany Fletcher and Jessica Patrylo; Seventh through Ninth Grade Talent: Brandon Wiemann, Jason Cooper, John Cooper, Deidra Brown; 10th through 12th Grade Talent: Four of a Kind (band with members Mike Melton, Matt Melton, Tristan Flynn and Jason Sutton); Crystal Huau; band "Hawaiian Potato Farmers" with Christian Jolly, Eric Henson, Don Lambling, Andy Garland and Luke McMurray; and Tiffany Terry. Art winners included: Grades 1-2: Lauren Anderson, Ariel Villa Fane, Timothy Morris and Rennie Richardson; Grades 3-4: Andrea Harvey, Kalin Puent, Joseph Morris II, and Michelle Tovani; Grades 5-6: Amanda Coyne, Natalie McGarity, Parker Null and Jason Ramey; Grades 7-9: Heather Cornell, Billy McCray, Nicole Nather and Ashley Treadwell; Grades 10-12: Eric Simonson, Mandy Johnson, Katie McHenry and Melissa Scheid. |
