The Flat Rock Middle School wrestling team recently
finished a successful season. The team took fourth place at the
Junior Chattahoochee wrestling tournament, finishing with five
medalists. Martin Montalvo went undefeated this season through all
of the meets and tournaments. He was a champion at the county
and South Metro tournament as well as the Junior
Chattahoochee meet. Montalvo's record this year was a striking 20-0. Mark
Smith took second place at the Chattahoochee meet and first
in the county. Trea Ward finished in third at Chattahoochee and
finished first in the county. Joey Singleton took first in the
county and finished in fourth place at the Chattahoochee meet.
Walter Body finished in third place at Chattahoochee.
The Flat Rock team faced some stiff competition throughout
the county as well at some of their tournaments. The
Chattahoochee meet pitted the kids from Flat Rock against wrestlers
from Lovett and Westminster.
