The day the lights went out in America

When I have the honor to baptize someone, I like to talk to them about salt and light at their baptism. This is done because Jesus said that we are suppose to be lights of the world and we are to salt the earth. In other words, we are to bring God's light to the world and to "flavor or change" the world for Him.

I never have been able to get over people who walk the aisles of churches and accept Christ as their savior, but never let any light or salt characterize their lives.

I was watching the impeachment proceedings of President Clinton and heard hour after hour of, in my mind, extremely clear irrefutable evidence of how our president time after time, calculated to mislead the American people and even went so far as to redefine the English language. Yet 74 percent of Americans bought it hook, line and sinker.

Then what further defies all logic, you see the polls indicating that 74 percent of the American people think the President lied, but still evidently want to be lied to some more?

As you read this there will probably be parties going on and glasses clicking to celebrate the fact that America didn't have the stomach to stand up and do what should have been done. We now have set the bar so low that you could go to one of our prisons and get a good looking, pathological liar and pervert, and get him elected, as long as he could run the economy. That my friends, is like prostitution. As long as you "pay me," you can act any way you want."

You 74 percent who still want him in office, did you ever stop to think what God thinks about this behavior?

I believe the lights have gone out in America and we watched it all on television. The salt has lost its savor. The Scriptures say it should then be "cast out."

To you 74 percent, please go back to the altars of your churches and seek the face of God and ask Him about your salt and light. President Clinton salted American politics with perjury, obstruction of justice, and adultery.
