American Fishing Schools, in association with the Outdoor
Adventures Network, has announced a new fishing seminar that
will join their "Hook'd On Fishing" seminar series that travels
North America. The Lake Lanier Spotted Bass fishing seminar will
provide the tackle, techniques and tactics for the beginner to
expert angler to hook into one of Georgia's most challenging
lakes to fish.
The seminar is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 20 at Lake
Lanier Islands Resort, just outside of Buford, Georgia. It will
cover fishing for spotted bass year round on the lake. Our five
presenters for the seminar bring over 80 years of combined
experience to share with each angler that attends the seminar from 8:30
a.m. through 4:00 p.m.
The first presenter is one of the top fishing pros on the
B.A.S.S. and FLW fishing tours, Tom Mann, Jr. He has called
Lake Lanier his home lake for over 20 years. He will share all of
his secrets on finding and catching spots on the lake. The next
presenter will be Capt. Mack Farr from Hoschton, GA. Mack
has been a guide on Lake Lanier for over 20 years and has
produced several videos on spotted bass fishing. He is in the process of
releasing a book on the Spotted Bass Fishing. He will share
his unique insight to fishing for these fish during the seminar.
Dr. Bob Reinert, fisheries biologist at the University of GA
is an avid fisherman. He will give each angler a unique look at
fishing from the fish's point of view. His humor mixed with good
scientific information will help you understand spotted bass
behavior and he'll make finding them easier on your next fishing trip.
Dan Jorgenson is a rising star on the B.A.S.S. tour and
spends a great deal of his time on Lake Lanier honing his skills
fishing for spotted bass. He will share with you the discoveries he
has made over the years and some great secrets for catching
spots when fishing gets tough!
The final speaker is Tim Norman and, like Dan, he is
another rising star on the B.A.S.S. tour. Tim will share many
unique techniques that will get you thinking about how you approach
your spotted bass fishing.
The cost is $45 per adult and with every paid adult
admission, up to 2 children between the ages of 10-18 can attend free!
The seminar fee includes admission to the Lake Lanier Islands Resort
for the day. However, lunch is not included. The resort has
several restaurants as well as the local restaurants in the
surrounding area.
