Call it Coweta County's restaurant row. From the traffic light at the intersection of Ga. Highway 34 and Millard Farmer Industrial Boulevard down Hwy. 34 to the Visitors' Center, restaurants have started calling Coweta home. Cracker Barrel opened late last year and started the stampede towards providing residents more dining alternatives. Schlotzsky's, Hooters and Applebee's have also set up shop on the busy stretch, and more are on the way. Texas Roadhouse opened this week, while Red Lobster opened its first restaurant in the county the first week of February. In front of the Newnan Pavilion, a new Longhorn Steakhouse is under construction and next week an O'Charley's opens next to Cracker Barrel. O'Charley's opens Tuesday and features a varied menu of fresh, never frozen, food. From aged, hand-cut beef to homemade rolls and caramel pie, the restaurant offers something for everyone. It's open seven days a week and serves lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch at mid-range prices. "O'Charley's is best known for the freshness and homemade quality of its food, in addition to the outstanding people who make up each of our 102 restaurant teams," said chairman Gregory Burns. "We put a lot of thought and hard work into the development of our recipes and preparing our food, producing only high-quality items we believe are well worth the effort."
