Last week, Clayton College and State University senior
forward Robert Conley was named Peach Belt Athletic Conference
Player of the Week for the second time this season. It was the third
time in his two year career at Clayton that he had received the award.
In the two games during the week, Conley averaged
27.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.5. steals. He shot 64.5 percent
from the field and 82.3 percent from the charity stripe. In the
Lakers win at USC Aiken, Conley scored a school record 40 points and
tied a school record for steals with eight. It was the fourth time
this year that Conley tied or beat the scoring record.
