A series of Lenten lunches begins Ash Wednesday, next week, at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church, 175 E. Lanier Ave., downtown.

The hour-long lunches will begin at noon in the fellowship hall. Sponsored by the United Methodist Women, the lunches are billed as an opportunity for the church and the community to come together for a time of fellowship and spiritual renewal.

Each lunch will feature a guest speaker and a light meal, at a cost of $2. For details, call the church office at 770-461-4313.
