Main Street Fayetteville recently received a $1,000 donation from ReMax of Fayetteville.

The donation will be used to help with the restoration of the historic Hollingsworth House in Fayetteville. ReMax has not only donated financial support, but has also acknowledged that including some of their employees in the renovation process is needed as well. Irene Schoene, ReMax Fayetteville president says, "We encourage our employees to participate in community endeavors, and we're very proud of Barbara Pearson, a ReMax agent who is a member of the Steering Committee for the Hollingsworth House renovation. Our employees make our company what it is, and since our employees live in this community, we have an obligation to support worthwhile projects in any way we can. This contribution confirms our company's commitment to help shape the future of downtown."

ReMax is showing great support during this restoration process and Main Street is looking forward to working directly with them until opening day. Main Street Director Sherri Anderson says, "It was the Steering Committee's belief that an investment in preserving our community's character compliments ReMax's business goals. We were delighted when we were informed of the extent of their generosity. I hope they are the first of other local real estate firms to recognize that an investment of people and financial resources in Main Street's revitalization efforts is appropriate and the right thing to do in the community in which their businesses are successful."
