Home Builders Association names Builder of the Year

Dennis Floyd has been named as 1998 Builder of the Year by the Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia.

Floyd, who is the 1998-'99 president of the association, majored in business management at Valdosta State University. He is a second generation builder and began his career in 1974 in Macon. He has also built in the Lake Oconee and Vidalia areas.

Now the CEO of Chadwick Homes, he is a member of Flat Creek Club, the Cuscouilla Golf Club, the Lions Club, the Exchange Club, the Newnan Presbyterian Church, and the Sales & Marketing Council.

His company, Chadwick Homes, is currently building in Kedron Hills in Peachtree City, TimberLake in Fayetteville, SummerGrove in Newnan, and Lake Oconee.

Floyd resides in Peachtree City with his wife Janis. Their son Chad lives in Concord with his wife Brandy. Their daughter Paige lives in Macon with her husband, Kerry Howell, and their children, John Kerry and Jane.

The Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia, which serves builders in Fayette, Coweta, Spalding, Heard and Meriwether Counties, currently has around 385 members. Information about the association or a membership application can be obtained by contacting the association office at 770-716-7109.
