The Fayette Youth Soccer League and the Georgia State Soccer Association will be offering soccer coaching classes in the month of February. The "F" class will be Saturday, Feb.13 and the "E" class will be Feb. 19-21. Call Chris Williams at 770-461-3869 for additional information.

The Fayette County Youth Soccer League is still accepting registrations for the Outreach Program for Soccer (TOPS) for physically and mentally challenged boys and girls, ages 6 to 19. Fisharama and Duckarama is coming to the Atlanta Expo Center, Feb. 5, 6 and 7. The show is sponsored by the Georgia Wildlife Federation and offers contests, exhibitions and the lowest prices on equipment from around the world. Doors are open from 1 to 9 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $6 for adults, $3 for seniors and children under 12. Children under the age of six are admitted free.

Now's the time to start putting together your teams for this spring's softball (openand church divisions) and volleyball leagues. The Ladies AM Golf League will be kicking off at The Links golf club on Wednesdays starting Mar. 3. The league is open to women ages 18 and older at a cost of $60 per person. The fee covers greens fee and clinic only. Patricipants must bring their own set of clubs.

The Co-Rec tennis league will begin on Thursdays starting onb Apr. 15 from 7:30- 9:30 p.m. Teams will consist of two men and two women. Sign up as a group or you will be placed with a group. The league is open to adult tennis players (USTA rated 2.5 -4.5) The cost is $25 per person.

A Spring Break Golf camp will be offered at the Wee Links at the Links Golf Course from Monday Apr. 5 - Friday Apr. 9. The class is open to children aes 6-16 at a cost of $55 per child. Each participant is required to bring their own set of clubs, including a putter.
Registration will begin on Monday Jan. 25 for the youth track program sponsored by the Peach-tree City Recreation Department. Children between 7 to 14 years of age (as of Dec. 31, 1999) are eligible to participate. The program is open to all Fayette County residents. Register at either the Peachtree City Recreation Administration Building , 191 McIntosh Trail, Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or at the Kedron Field House and Aquatic Center, 202 Kedron Drive, Mondays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Registration is only open for two weeks and will end on Saturday, Feb. 6. The cost will be $50 per child with a discount for siblings within the same family. This includes a team uniform and entry fees for meets. There will be an organizational meeting held on Sunday, Feb. 7 starting at 7 p.m. at the J.C. Booth Middle School Gym, 250 Peachtree Parkway South. It is very important for all parents and athletes to attend.

Spring Indoor Muppet Soccer League for four- and five- year- old players. The season runs from Friday, April 16 to June 5. All games will be played on Monday or Friday evenings. The registration fee is $40 and includes a team t-shirt. Registration will be held Saturdays Feb.13 and Feb. 20 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Soccer Centre. The Fayette County High School Booster Club is sponsoring the 1999 Fayette County High School Sports Hall of Fame Banquet. The banquet will be held on Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. in the commons area of Fayette County High School. Tickets are on sale now at Fayette Sports and space is limited.

The 1999 "Lung" golf privilege card is on sale now. The card offers free or reduced green fees at over 600 courses for only $25. Buy three and you get the fourth one for free. Last year the Golf Privilege card raised over $130,000 to aid in the fight against lung disease. Payments through Visa and MasterCard are accepted. The Brooks Area Recreation Department has announced their registration dates for the 1999 Dixie youth baseball season in Brooks Registration will be Saturdays, Feb. 13, 20 and 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Field House complex at The Ball Park in Brooks and the Administration Complex- Room 212 in Fayetteville.
