schedule for Y2K work As part of their ongoing efforts to provide effective and efficient service, the Fayette County Health Department, the Board of Health, and District 4 Public Health have developed plans to prevent any interruption of services at Y2K or the year 2000. The facility will need to undergo extensive rewiring to support the computer system, and all computers will be off line while this is accomplished. The Fayette County Health Department has apologized in advance for any inconvenience this may cause, but they said they "are quite sure that the improvements in the system will be a great benefit to the community." The facility will be closed to all clinical activity (nursing) Friday, Jan. 29. They will be back to partial capacity Monday, Feb. 1. No new appointments will be made for Monday, but those patients who have an appointment for that day will be seen. For information, call 770-461-1178. |
