Cumberland Financial Group, Inc., which has an office in Fayetteville, recently acquired David Brown Accounting & Tax of Smyrna. The company also merged with Summit Accounting and Tax, Inc. of Woodstock.

The new firm will operate under the name Cumberland Financial group, Inc., according to the company's executives. Richard Nixon will manage the Smyrna office, while Kevin Huston manages the Woodstock office and Elizabeth Jakway handles the management duties in Fayetteville.

All three offices offer accounting, income tax preparation, IRS representation, insurance, investments, financial planning and mortgage loans.

Cumberland Financial has served the Fayetteville and surrounding area for five years. The firm's three offices prepare income tax returns for over 3,400 businesses, families and individuals annually.
