The American Red Cross will be having a blood drive Wednesday, Jan. 27, from 2-7 p.m. at The Gathering Place, 203 McIntosh Trail, Peachtree City.

There is an urgent need for Type O and B blood. It takes approximately 1,081 units of Type O blood per day; as of Jan. 12, only 155 units were on hand. For more information, call 770-631-2553.

The Gathering Place hosts a blood drive the fourth Wednesday of every month.
