The Mews is an upscale, important retail addition that is much needed by our community. If not the Mews, then the land will be used for some sort of commercial enterprise and not homes anyway. Any development of this land will create additional traffic so? Why not something worthwhile and needed? What the [Peachtree City] Council should have been discussing was what kind of buffers and conditions would best protect the neighborhood and community buffers, density, parking which would assure us that the final development would be as attractive and useful as the plan describes. We can't ask for land owners not to develop a valuable property! But we can assure ourselves that the plan will increase the value of our property and be a benefit to the community. This is a very well conceived plan that will provide our community with a much needed resource and [developer John] Callaway should be granted his approval to begin construction as quickly as possible.
