The Rosemary Cafe has new look, new menu

The Rosemary Cafe will be welcoming patrons back today after two weeks of extensive renovations, giving the restaurant a fresh new look. Regular customers will also be greeted by two new faces, as Kevin and Kristin Flaherty have recently assumed ownership and will introduce several new dishes to the already popular menu.

The couple, just married last week, will run the restaurant personally acting as both head chef and manager respectively. They said they will continue the Italian stream yet the menu can be generally descibed as American Fusion Cuisine.

Kevin, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, has had over 16 years experience as head chef for several private restaurants.

"I'm a hands-on chef for both dinner and lunch," Flaherty said. "The people of Peachtree City deserve a good restaurant."

Signature dishes at The Rosemary Cafe include a stuffed filet mignon with Wisconsin Brie cheese wrapped in Applewood bacon.

Furthermore, the menu will be extended to include a wider variety of seafood, which Kevin says is provided fresh from the market three to five days a week.

Kevin recommends the blackened grouper over sweet potato, jalepeno, rock shrimp hash.

Kevin also has plans to begin offering prepared entrees to go. Patrons will be able to call in orders early for all of the signature dishes such as veal and chicken parmasan and pick them up.

Kristin Flaherty will run the day to day business as the operations manager.

The Rosemary Cafe is open for lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Dinner hours are Monday through Thursday from 5:30-8:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:30-9:30 p.m. It is closed on Sunday.

Reservations are recommended for parties of four or more on weekends. Prices range from $6-$8 for lunch and $11.99-16.99 for dinner.

The Rosemary Cafe has been voted in both 1997 and 1998 as Best Restuarant by Atlanta Magazine.

"It's going to be that much better," Kevin said. "We guarentee your going to leave here satisfied."
