Teen Challenge director speaking in Fayette

Sunday, Fayette Assembly of God will have a special guest speaker, Rev. Tim Newbon. Newbon is the Director for Teen Challenge of Atlanta. Teen Challenge was founded by David Wilkerson over 30 years ago and is an organization that reaches out to people with life-controlling problems. Braelinn holding budget workshop

Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., members of the community can learn to organize their budget using biblical principles of money management at Braelinn Baptist Church's "1999 Personal and Family Budget Workshop." The cost, $15 per family, includes Larry Burkett's Financial Planning Workbook and refreshments. Preregistration is encouraged; visit the Ministry Information Center in the lobby, 777 Robinson Rd., Peachtree City, and talk with a ministry representative. To prepare for the workshop, participants should gather all their monthly spending records for 1998 and be ready for a full morning of work. Fayetteville Christian offers adult electives

Fayetteville Christian Church is offering Wednesday evening adult electives through Feb. 3, including "The Marks of a Mature Christian, A Study of James," "Sharing Your Faith with Pre-Christian Friends" and "Servants' Hour of Prayer." For details, call the church office at 770-461-8763.

Teens helping Atlanta's homeless men

The teens of Fayetteville Christian Church are sponsoring a collection drive to warm the homeless men of Atlanta. Coats, hats, gloves and blankets with no holes or unsightly stains are needed, and can be delivered to the church until the morning of Jan. 24.
