* In a story in the Jan. 6 edition of The Citizen, it was incorrectly stated that the Fayette County Commission would discuss the possibility of a popular election for the commission chairman at its Jan. 6 meeting. The commission discussed only the method by which it would choose the chairman for 1999.
* In a Jan. 6 story about the Jan. 7 Planning Commission meeting, it was incorrectly stated that Frank Love's request to add a new phase to Jeff Davis Plantation subdivision would be on that agenda. The matter was on early drafts of the commission agenda, but was removed after the County Commission denied a zoning change that would have allowed the new property to be added to the subdivision plat.
