Fayette Community Hospital recently announced the appointment of John Miles as chief financial officer.

Along with managing the general finances of the hospital, Miles is responsible for financial reporting, receivables, the general ledger, admissions, medical records, clinical laboratory and compliance.

"John brings with him an impressive combination of financial management experience as well as a genuine sense of pride and leadership that will complement our management team," said Fayette Community Hospital CEO Darrell Cutts.

Miles previously served as chief financial officer at Shoals Hospital in Muscle Shoals, Al. and was controller at Peachtree Regional Hospital in Newnan.

He lives in Newnan with his wife, Lisa, and two children, Paul and Madeline.

Bradley Murphy, who is the local sales manager for Prudential's Greater Atlanta insurance agency in Fayetteville, recently completed a program sponsored by Prudential.

The program reviewed the latest recruitment and management and technology systems in insurance and financial services at the company's sales school in Dallas. The school focuses on sharpening managerial skills.

The agency is located at 150 Marquis Drive in Fayetteville. Murphy is responsible for 10 sales representatives in the office.

Murphy has previously received the company's career development award and manager of the year award.
