The Atlanta Boat Show is coming to the Georgia World
Congress Center Jan. 6-10. The exhibit Titanic: Voyage Through
Time will be on display as well as Twiggy the Waterskiing Squirrel and
the latest in fishing and boating equipment and deals. Atlanta
Braves Pitcher Tom Glavine will be signing autographs on Jan. 6 between
7-9 p.m. All of the major dealers and manufacturers will be present
and there wll be a special section for the kids, featuring boat
painting and bumper boats. Admission to the show is $7 for adults and $3
for children between the ages of 6-12. Tickets are available at the
show box office or by calling (888)322-9922 for $5 advance tickets.
Registration is now open for The Ten Star All Star Basketball
Camp. Boys and girls ages 10-18 are eligible. Past
participants include Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan,
Grant Hill and Antawn Jamison. Camp locations are in Atlanta, GA, Raleigh N.C, Center
Valley, PA, Bristol,VA, Delaware, OH, Marion, IN, and Mobile, Ala. College Basketball

Registration for Inline Hockey begins January 9,1999 at the Kedron Field House from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Peachtree City Roller Hockey
league is open to children ages 7-15. A copy of a birth certificate is required at registration and the child must be older than seven but younger than fifteen
as of March 26, 1998. The fee is $75 and safety is stressed. Children must wear a HECC approved hockey helmet with cafe, mouth piece, elbow
pads, hockey shin/knee guards, protective cup and hockey gloves. For information on Squirts (7-9) call Vicky Phelps at 631-2952, Peewees (10-12) call

Registration for The Fayette Youth Track Team
runs from Jan. 18 to Jan. 30 at the Fayette County Recreation Department. Registration is
from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. The child must be between the ages of 6-14. The cost is $40 per child
with a $5 discount for each additional sibling that registers. Practices will begin on Feb. 23 at McCurry Park. For additional information contact Danielle

The Fayette County Youth Soccer League will be
conducting registration for the spring soccer
season on Jan. 9,16, 23 and 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Registration will take place at the McCurry Park Soccer complex concession building on Jan. 9 and 30 and at the Indoor Soccer Centre
on Jan. 16 and 23. The costs for boys and girls are as follows: Under -6 is $40, Under- 8 is $70, and Under-10 through Under-19 is $80. New players
need to bring a copy of their birth certificate. Practice begins the week of Feb.22, games begin March 5, and the season ends in the middle of May.

The Fayette Youth Soccer League and the Georgia State Soccer Association will be offering
soccer coaching classes in the month of

The Fayette County Youth Soccer League is still
accepting registrations for the Outreach Program for Soccer (TOPS)
for physically and mentally challenged boys and girls, ages 6 to 19. The cost is $40 per year, and we are hoping to participate in the Special Olympics in May, in the 8

The Fayette County High School Booster Club is sponsoring
the 1999 Fayette County High School Sports Hall of
Fame Banquet. The banquet will be held on Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. in the
commons area of Fayette County High School. Tickets are on sale now
at Fayette Sports and space is limited.
