Jesus Video Project gains momentum! The Jesus Video Project is actively working to accomplish its goal of making sure every home in Georgia receives a copy of the "Jesus" video. As a part of that project, churches in the Fayette and Coweta area have set several goals. Already, 40 churches in the two counties have joined forces to facilitate this project. Each church has a coordinating couple to serve as a liaison to the leadership team for this project. The first step of the action plan has begun: Praying for our neighbors. Hundreds of families have committed to pray for their neighbors. As a part of this prayer movement, Braelinn Baptist Church, Peachtree Christian Fellowship and First Baptist Church of Peachtree City will host a special Unity Prayer Rally Sunday, Feb. 7, 6-8 p.m. Al Vander Grind and Mary Lance Sisk, well-known leaders in neighborhood ministry, will lead the group to explore new and exciting ideas for caring for our neighbors. On Feb. 14, these churches will ask their congregations to give a love offering to the Georgia Jesus Video Project. The total cost to send a video to every home in Georgia is over $9 million. The group hopes to raise $1 million on Feb. 14. All churches in the Fayette and Coweta area are invited to join this effort. If your church has yet to join this exciting movement, you are invited to our next meeting Jan. 10, 3 p.m., at First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Peachtree City, or call 770-487-8133, ext. 215.
