on and off the soccer field

On Jan. 24, the National Soccer Coaches Association
of America will meet in Philadelphia and honor academic
award winning teams. Both the boys and girls team from McIntosh
High School are being honored for their collective grade point
average. McIntosh and Athens Academy are the only two schools in
Georgia that have both their boys and girls teams represented. The
Lady Chiefs have a 3.5 cumulative average, while the boys have a 3.27.
The Fayette County Lady Tigers will also be recognized
for their grade point average of 3.74. These teams should be
congratulated for their athletic and scholar accomplishments. May their
success continue in years to come.
