Turner earns Master of Divinity

John E. Turner, of Fayetteville, received the Master of Divinity degree Dec. 18 at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Turner, minister of students at First Baptist Church in Canton, Ga., is married to the former Sheryl Graves of Thomasville, Ala. He is the son of John and Gena Turner of Fayetteville.

One of the world's largest accredited seminaries, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary offers associate, baccalaureate, masters and doctoral degrees in biblical studies, theology, pastoral ministry, church history, Christian education, counseling and music. It is owned and supported by the Southern Baptist Convention.

Turner's home church is Fayetteville First Baptist Church. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in religion and sociology from Samford University.
