Glad this teacher is gone

Letters from Our Readers

[an error occurred while processing this directive]
Thank you for taking my letter. This is in response to "Give Veteran Teachers a break" in the letters, e-mails, faxes section of the Dec. 30, 1998 Citizen newspaper.

To Ms. Westbrook,

Yes, many many concerned and hopeful parents, coaches, teachers, and students took the time from a hectic Christmas schedule on the Monday night before Christmas in high hopes of being granted the funds for athletic facilities for Starrs Mill High School. We listened patiently as Ms. Westbrook aired her many grievances. Finally, the time for our topic came up. As each school board member spoke their position on the matter of our athletic facilities coming into fruition. After Ms. Hule, who is one of our board members, totally shot down any hopes of her vote for our facilities, Ms. Westbrook had the audacity to clap and cheer for our defeat. I had the displeasure to be sitting behind Ms. Westbrook during this show of rudeness and poor taste. I for one am glad we don't have this type of teacher in our school system anymore.
