Stein Mart, a nationwide chain whose locations include Peachtree City, will give back to its communities during the holidays with the annual Stein Mart Giving Tree project. Each store will set up a holiday tree with all the trimmings, including paper ornaments with the first names, clothing sizes and one "wish-list gift" of children from a nearby charity that addresses children's needs.

Stein Mart personnel and customers have the opportunity to take an ornament and buy an appropriate gift for that particular child. The gift does not have to be purchased at a Stein Mart store. The gift is then wrapped and returned to the store's tree by the donor, and agency personnel from the chosen charitable organization will retrieve the gifts for distribution to the children. Each store is given the option to select whichever charity in their area they prefer.
