A flasher who prowled the cart paths of Peachtree City this spring and summer has received jail sentences totaling three years for his escapades, court records show. Carlos Duran Gutierrez, 27, of Peachtree City, was convicted of two counts of public indecency and one count of stalking at a bench trial Wednesday before Judge W. Fletcher Sams. Twelve-month sentences, to be served consecutively, were given on each charge, plus a total of $3600 in fines, according to records. Peachtree City Police Chief James Murray said that Gutierrez was caught in late summer after exposing himself to a woman on a golf-cart path, and then was connected to two earlier flashing incidents. Other arrests reported by PTC police include: William B. Bexley, 17, Peachtree City, charged with DUI, minor in possession of alcohol, possession of marijuana, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, failure to maintain lane and failure to show license; Young H. Byun, 40, Riverdale, DUI, resisting officer and other charges; Kawan T. Clark, 17, Peachtree City, minor in possession of alcohol. Three persons have been arrested recently for allowing underage person to operate golf carts, along with two 13-year-olds and a 15-year-old who were charged with underage golf cart operation. Those charged with allowing the youths to operate carts were John D. Clements, 41, Arthur G. Ash, 44, and Jan Miller, 50, all of Peachtree City. Police also are investigating the theft of money after hours from Ginza Steak and Sushi on Crosstown Drive, and thefts of a computer from Avery Dennison on Ga. Highway 74 south, a bicycle from Kroger in Braelinn Village and a cell phone from an auto parked at Greensway Amoco.
