Volunteer mentors sought

Community Schools operates a mentoring program for students in the Fayette school system. Volunteers serve as adults and role models to students in need. There are more students needing this program than volunteers to work with them.

Participants are asked to meet with their protege for one hour weekly at the school site. The training classes are age specific and cover topics such as building relations, stages of mentoring and helping students develop self-improvement skills.

All training classes will be from 7-9 p.m., starting in January, at McIntosh High School in Peachtree City. For more information, call Donna Worcester at 770-716-7871.
