Boys Basketball - 12/4

East Coweta - 63 vs. Fayette County - 42

Trevor Bowman, Jay Chapman, William Moore and Jeff Barnes each scored seven points in the Tigers loss but the game was closer than the score indicates. The Tigers changed their defense well and played with intense pressure but they did not shoot the ball well. Marcus Robinson and Justin Stephens were the catalysts on offense for East Coweta. Juniors Jackie Britt and Xavier Darden played well at the post position.

McIntosh - 84 vs. Starr's Mill - 46

The Panthers did not open strong and got overwhelmed by the Chiefs. The Chiefs shot out the lights and outhustled the young Starr's Mill team. Michael Patrick finished with 29 points while Jim Hanchett scored 23 points for the Chiefs. Reuben Houston finished with 11 points for the Panthers, while Brandon Alexander netted only seven points.

Starr's Mill built a 24 -11 lead in the second quarter but the Tigers rallied on the strength of Jessica Pritchett's 22 points. Becca Grizzard finished with nine points for the Tigers, easing her team to victory.

East Coweta - 55 vs. Troup County - 38

Everybody on the Indian squad got some playing time Saturday night's win. "The defense hustled and put good pressure on their guards," Coach Paula Jones said. Janine Martin led the team in scoring and Trishica Evans had some key steals in the victory.
