Area man, 28, killed in Tenn. car wreck

A Coweta County resident who attended Fayette Christian High School died over the holiday weekend after his car apparently ran off an exit ramp on Interstate 75 near Chattanooga.

Terry "Ted" West, 28, were headed to Tennessee for the holidays when the crash occurred on Wednesday night. West's wife, Lynn, along with his children were taken to a Chattanooga hospital and treated for injuries after the crash.

West is survived by his wife and children, Colby, Juliana and Abigail; his parents, Duane and Allona West of Fayetteville; brothers, Daniel, Christopher and Chad; sister, Melissa Ervin and his grandmothers, Mae Witt of Fayetteville and Sylvia West.

West's funeral was Monday at Tri-County Baptist Church in Senoia.
