Staff Writer

A trio of talented 10-year-old ballerinas will share the title role of Clara in Fayette Ballet's 11th annual production of "The Nutcracker." Jenna Earle, Amber Lewis and Brianna Jackson will each take center stage for one of the three performances scheduled for Dec. 5 and 6 at the Starr's Mill High School auditorium.

Lewis will open the weekend run on Saturday, Dec. 6, with a 2 p.m. matinee performance. She is the daughter of Monisa and Kelvin Lewis of Rex. Lewis is a student at East Clayton Elementary School and has been dancing with Beverly Williamson's group for two years. This is her second appearance in "The Nutcracker," having played the role of a party child last year.

Jackson debuts on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. She is the daughter of Ted and Sherrie Jackson of Fayetteville and is a fourth-grader at Pace Christian School. Jackson has taken instruction from Williamson for six years. She has played the roles of Snow Flurry, Angel, Polchinelle, Party Child, Chinese Acrobat and danced in the Waltz of the Flowers in previous Nutcrackers.

The Sunday matinee performance at 3 p.m. will feature Earle as Clara. She is the daughter of Greg and Cheryl Earle of Tyrone. She is a student at Burch Elementary School and has been dancing since she was two-and-a-half. This is her sixth year as a performer in "The Nutcracker."
