holidays, benefit Georgia wildlife The Georgia Wildlife Federation is selling balsam fir wreaths as a fundraiser this season. Money raised will be used to fund GWF's environmental education programs. The Georgia Wildlife Federation is the state's oldest and largest conservation organization and is affiliated with the National Wildlife Federation. Founded in 1936 by sportsmen and sportswomen, GWF's goals are to protect Georgia's wildlife and to conserve valuable resources. To ensure Georgia's environmental future, GWF has an outdoor classroom program and a "Just for Kids" section on their web site (www.gwf.org). Both are designed to instruct children on the benefits of a healthy environment to all animals. The Georgia Wildlife Holiday Wreath is handcrafted in the northern Michigan from fresh-cut, fragrant, balsam boughs. It is 22" in diameter, individually boxed, and priced at $24.95, including shipping and handling. The price for five or more drops to $21.95 each. To order a Georgia Wildlife Holiday Wreath or to find out more about the group's educational programs, contact Caroline Echols at 770-929-3350 or write to: Georgia Wildlife Federation, 1930 Iris Drive, Conyers, GA 30094. |
