Boy Scouts holding open house Monday

Boy Scout Troop 212 is having an open house Monday at 7:15 p.m. at Peachtree City Christian Church. There will be demonstrations of camping and scouting skills. Membership is open to boys ages 12 to 17. All interested boys and parents are invited to attend. The church is at 500 Kedron Dr., off Ga. Highway 74 North.

Braelinn babies to be dedicated Sunday

New babies born this year to parents at Braelinn Baptist Church will be dedicated during all three morning worship services Sunday, 8:30, 9:45 and 11 a.m. Parents will be making a commitment to God and their church family to raise up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.????????

Journey through Fayetteville's Bethlehem

Travel the streets of Bethlehem, recreated to portray life at the time of the birth of Christ, and sample and smell the aromas of the marketplace during the Advent Journey, presented by Fayetteville First Baptist. Journey times are from 7 to 9 p.m. each day, Dec. 4-7. The church is at 205 E. Stonewall Ave., downtown.

Start the week with prayer and devotion

Christians suffering from the Monday morning blues may find help getting through the week during the "Monday morning moment" prayer and devotional breakfast, at 7 a.m. every week at the Fayetteville Shoney's. For information, call Fayetteville First United Methodist Church at 770-461-4313.

Hanging of the Greens begins Advent season

National Heights Baptist Church is kicking off the Advent season with The Hanging of the Greens, 10:55 a.m. Sunday. Other Advent activities planned include special Christmas music and a luncheon next Sunday, a concert by the Jubilheirs Dec. 11, special speaker Bill Brewster and Christmas music Dec. 13, a Christmas banquet Dec. 16, A Service of Lessons and Carols Dec. 20 and a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 7 p.m. Dec. 24.
