NOVEMBER

27:*Main Street Newnan will present the Tree Lighting Ceremony and the arrival of Santa Nov. 27. Holiday music, shopping spree drawing and more.

27:*Stone Mountain Park will kick off the 1998 Holiday Season on Nov. 27 at 5:30 p.m. with a full hour of family entertainment. Lots of singing, special holiday laser show, Santa Claus, and more. $6 parking fee to enter park. 770-498-5690.

28-29:*The Festival Ballet Company presents the ninth magical season of The Nutcracker at the Clayton County Schools Performing Arts Center Nov. 28 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 29 at 3 p.m. Tickets: VIP seating, $15; Adult, $12; Seniors, $10; Students, $8. 2-4:*Agnes Scott College Dance Department will perform "Aladdin's Magic Holiday Ride," Dec. 2-4 at 10:25 a.m. in Presser Hall. Admission $3. 404-471-6891.

4:*The Newnan Hospital Auxiliary will sponsor the Candlelight Tour of Homes in the College-Temple Historic District, Dec. 4 from 5-9 p.m.

4-6:*Stone Mountain Park's Antebellum Plantation will be the site of the "Deck the Halls Weekend and Evening Candlelight Tours," Dec. 4-6. 4-5:*The Fourteenth Annual Christmas Tour of Homes in Fayette sponsored by the First United Methodist Church will be Dec. 4-5 from 1-5 p.m. Donation: $12. Please no children under 12.

5:*The Tinsel Trail Home Tour, sponsored by the Peachtree City New Neighbors Club, will be Dec. 5 from 2-7 p.m. and Dec. 6 from 1-6 p.m. Tickets are $10 and a portion of proceeds will benefit charitable causes. 5:*The fifth annual Main Street Fayetteville Christmas Parade will be Dec. 5 at 10 a.m. Line up at 9 a.m. at the Fayette Place Shopping Center. 5:*The Peachtree City Recreation Department will be sponsoring the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony Dec. 5 beginning at 6 p.m. at the City Hall Plaza. Local entertainment will perform holiday music from 6-8 p.m. and Santa Claus will arrive early to help Mayor Bob Lenox throw the switch. Pictures with Santa will be available for purchase. Bring a toy for "Toys for Tots."

5:*The 1998 Christmas Celebration will take place in Historic Downtown Fairburn on Dec. 5. The day's events will begin at 11 a.m. in front of the old freight depot with a special Christmas program featuring performances by Evoline C. West Elementary, Palmetto Elementary, and Bear Creek Elementary. Santa will be Horse & Carriage from noon-3 p.m. Free rides.

5:*Join the Landmark Christian School's annual Madrigal Dinner for an evening of English Medieval music, a delicious meal and a comedic play, Dec. 4 and 5. 770-306-0647, ext. 246.

5:*Westville, a working 1850 town, will celebrate the 30th annual Yule Log Ceremony to ring in the month-long honoring of friends and volunteers, Dec. 5 at 3 p.m. The lighting of the Christmas Tree at the Singer House will be Dec. 12 and Dec. 19 at 2 p.m. On Dec. 26, the Yuletide festivities will end with the Burning of the Greens at 2 p.m. 1-888-SEE 1850.

5:*The Heart of the Village Collectors Club is hosting a Christmas tour of the Historical Lewis Mills House on Dec. 5 from 4-10 p.m. as a fund-raiser for the club. Tickets cost $5 each and can be purchased at the Heart of the Country, 123 Stonewall Ave. in Fayetteville. More than 300 lighted ceramic buildings of Department 56 collectibles will be on display. The Lewis Mills House is located at 406 North Hill Street in Griffin.
