gets praise
Clayton College & State University's groundbreaking
Information Technology Project received major acclaim last week
in a speech given by Microsoft CEO and chairman Bill Gates at
the 1998 Conference on Information Technology in Miami.
Along with emphasizing the scope and future of
information technology, Gates addressed the role of information technology
in local colleges.
Last year, Clayton College & State University partnered
with Floyd College in Rome to launch the Information
Technology Project, an initiative providing more than 8,000 students on
both campuses with powerful notebook computers, unlimited Internet
use, e-mail accounts and classrooms equipped with state of the
art multimedia equipment.
