Four teenagers, one of whom hid inside a Peachtree City grocery after hours, were arrested and charged with burglary last week, according to Police Chief Jim Murray.

An officer on routine patrol about 1 a.m. Nov. 15 "observed a subject running from" the A&P Food Market at Peachtree Crossings, Murray said. The officer confronted the suspect and checked a camouflage bag he was carrying, finding "a flashlight, a set of walkie-talkies and a pair of gloves," reports show.

Murray said the preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect, Bryan C. Lee, 17, of Peachtree City, had hidden inside the store until after closing, keeping walkie-talkie contact with three others described as "lookouts" outside the store.

The other suspects, arrested later, were identified as Brandon D. Copeland, 17, and Joel C. Boutier, 18, both of Peachtree City, and Kenneth J, Young, 18, of Union City. All four were charged with burglary, Murray said, and transported to Fayette County Jail. Bond was set at $5000 each in Fayette County Magistrate Court, he added.

Police reports also show that two juveniles, ages 13 and 14, were arrested Nov. 11 after a fight on a school bus. Both were charged with "affray," reports said.

Two hit-and-run accidents were reported, one involving two golf carts on a path near Battery Way, and the other a red mid-sized pickup that struck a vehicle at Ga. Highway 54 and Stevens Entry. Also, a golf cart was stolen from a Windsor Place residence and recovered damaged at McIntosh High School, according to reports.
