Fayetteville police called in the U.S. Secret Service earlier this month after a counterfeit $50 bill was passed at a local fast food restaurant.

Police reports show that the bill was used to pay for food at Fayetteville Burger King by a black male driving a Ford Explorer. Lt. Linda Lash said that the Secret Service was notified and received the case Nov. 6, the day after the incident.

"We gave them all the information we had about a suspect, and the money," Lash said.

City police also arrested two Arrington, Va., men for traffic violations and possession of marijuana. Reports say Lewis Franklin Johnson Jr. and Herman Oscar Williams Jr. were both charged with possession of marijuana, and Johnson was also charged with DUI and driving without a license.

Fayette County Sheriff's Department reports show that three vehicles sustained damages from "a portion of scaffolding in the road" at Ga. Highway 85 and McBride Road on Nov. 6.

Also under investigation by the FCSD is the theft of $5721 from Kwickie/Flash Foods at 973 Ga. Highway 54 on Oct. 28.

Reports show two arrests on Nov. 7 in a domestic disturbance. Russell Eugene Murphy, 30, was charged with simple assault, criminal trespass and probation violation in connection with an incident on Canterbury Lane. Also arrested was April Marie Sherwood, 19, who was charged with underage possession of alcohol, simple assault and felony obstruction of an officer, according to reports.
