Residents can now pay their cable bill while they food shop
MediaOne, metropolitan Atlanta's primary provider of Broadband services,
announced late last week that it has reached an
agreement with Winn-Dixie stores to give MediaOne customers the option of paying their
monthly bill at any of the supermarket's 57 stores in
the region.
"We are pleased to be working with the Winn-Dixie stores in Atlanta to bring
this added convenience to our customers,"
said Ellen Filipiak, senior vice president for MediaOne's Atlanta region. "Now, when
our customers are out running errands, they can pick up their groceries and pay their cable
bill when it is most convenient for them."
In order to pay a MediaOne bill at Winn-Dixie, customers should bring their
monthly statement to the store's courtesy desk.
The payment will be posted to the account on the next business day. Customers will be
charged a 75-cent processing fee to cover
administrative costs incurred by the retailer. The
supermarket payment centers will not be equipped to handle service calls, pay-per-view or
converter issues.
In addition to the new Winn-Dixie payment centers, MediaOne customers can enjoy
the following convenient payment options:
· Mail payments to the address listed on their monthly statement.
· Call MediaOne customer service at 770-559-2000 24-hours a day to charge by phone
to their Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover.
· Use MediaOne's Paybill Advantage, a free service which automatically pays the
cable bill from a checking account 20 days from
the statement date.
· Pay by check, cash, money order or
credit card in person at the customer service center
at 107 Glynn Street in Fayetteville.
