*Fayetteville city officials will finalize the purchase of the historic Holliday-Dorsey-Fife House Monday, Nov. 16 at 9 a.m.

*JDN Development Corp. is planning four restaurants, including Chuck E. Cheese and Applebee's, on a strip of land between Ga. highways 314 and 85 across Banks Road from the Banks Crossing Shopping Center.

The company's development plan for the parcel is on the agenda for Tuesday's Fayetteville Planning Commission meeting, but is likely to be tabled to give company and city officials more time to work out concerns about the plan.

Planning Commission members are worried that a street running straight through the development, from Hwy. 85 through to Hwy. 314, will be attractive as a cut-through for drivers wanting to avoid Banks Road. That might be dangerous, they say.

*Also on the agenda Tuesday, an Amoco/Split Second convenience store probably will be approved for the corner of Ramah Road at Hwy. 85 south. An outparcel to the new Fayetteville Towne Center shopping center (Kroger), the store will offer fresh sandwiches in addition to the standard convenience fare.

*Carpets to Go also is submitting plans for a store at Hwy. 314 and Biltmore Drive.

The Fayetteville City Council's regularly scheduled meeting tomorrow, Nov. 16, has been cancelled due to a lack of agenda items.
