Club's 'delicate' work on display

The Delicate Brush China Club's exhibit of hand-painted, fired, porcelain art is on display at the Fayette County Public Library in Fayetteville through Thursday, Nov. 19. Members of the club have won ribbons at the State Fair in Perry and at the recent Beaux Arts Festival in Clayton County.

This centuries-old art is preserved through these artists who paint together in classes and at homes throughout the Fayette area. Members who meet monthly at the Fayette Presbyterian Church include Amparo Gomez, president Joan Gray-Graden, Laura Lacis, Lynette Peterson, Magali Safar and Denise Reidelbach.

Designs on display include framed landscapes, seascapes and animals. Teapots, vases, clocks, plates, ornaments and boxes are among the items graced with the group's artwork. For more information, call the library at 770-461-8841, or the group's vice president, Laura Lacis at 770-631-4158.
