Obituaries

Donal Cook

A. Donal Cook, 71, Fairburn, died Oct. 26, 1998. He was born June 15, 1927 in Fairburn (Campbell County).

He had served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955, and was employed with Delta Air Lines from 1956 to 1991.

Graveside services were held at Holly Hill Memorial Cemetery, Fairburn, with the Rev. Will Thomas officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Phillips Cook, whom he married in 1949; a son, Joe (and Lynn) Cook; daughters, Penny (and Travis) Harris and Jill (and Jimmy) Mulhall; brothers, Billy Cook, Riverdale, and Hall Cook, Peachtree City; and sisters, Doris Smith and Joyce Phillips, both of Fairburn.

There are seven grandchildren, Melissa Gann, Brandy Aldredge, Chris Harris, Huey Harris, Kristy Cook, Logan Cook and Jackson Mulhall.

Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge of the arrangements.

Hazel J. Chapman

Hazel J. Chapman, 69, died Nov. 2, 1998. She was born July 28, 1929 in Fayette County, the daughter of the late Willie Clarence and Daisy Kate (Jones) Jones.

Services were held at the Grace Baptist Church, Sharpsburg, with Pastor Brian Anderson officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Newnan.

Survivors include her husband, Floyd Chapman, Sharpsburg; sons, Steve (and Sharon) Chapman, Stafford, Va., Tony Chapman, North Beach, Md., Mike (and Kari) Chapman, Senoia; a brother, Emory Jones, Sharpsburg; sisters, Inez Pye, Fayetteville, Pauline Minix and Margie Braswell, both of Palmetto.

There are five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Nevin Walter Richey

Nevin Walter Richey, 71, Peachtree City, died Nov. 1, 1998. He was born Jan. 7, 1927 in York, Pa.

Services were held at the Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church, Peachtree City, with the Rev. Douglas Griffith officiating. Interment was at York, Pa.

Survivors include his wife, Roma J. Richey, Peachtree City; a daughter, Tonya (and O. C.) Lamb, McDonough; and a grandson, Elliott Lamb, McDonough.

Memorial donations may be made to Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church, Peachtree City.

Sara Pauline Dingler

Sara Pauline Dingler, 83, Senoia, died Oct. 28, 1998. She was born Sept. 3, 1915 in Coweta County, Ga., the daughter of John L. and Pinky Mae McLendon Drake. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Daniel Dingler.

Services were held at the McKoon Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Ken Fuqua and the Rev. Charles Drake officiating. Interment was at White Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery, Newnan.

Survivors include a son, Alfred (and Rebecca) Dingler, Morrow, Ga.; sisters, Claudine Dingler and Edith Sykes, both of Barnesville, Ga.; and grandchildren, Janet L. Boyd, Douglasville, Alfred L. Dingler Jr., Fayetteville, Steve W. Dingler, Naples, Fla., and Kathy S. Hartmann, Tampa, Fla.

There are six great-grandchildren.

Daniel Lee Woods

Daniel Lee Woods, 17, Peachtree City, died Nov. 2, 1998. He was born Oct. 20, 1981 in Lynchburg, Va.

Services were held at the Carl J. Mowell Chapel, Peachtree City, with minister Patrick Gill officiating. Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery, Bedford, Va.

Survivors include his parents, Steve and Vickie Woods, Peachtree City; brothers, Shawn Elliott O'Neil, Henderson, Tenn., and David Ryan O'Neil, Newnan; sisters, Erica Ann O'Neil, Dayton, Ohio, and Dana Carol Woods, Peachtree City; paternal grandparents, Robert and Nancy Woods, Bedford, Va. and maternal grandparents Lewis and Elizabeth Hair, Danville, Va.

Memorial donations may be made to the Newnan Church of Christ Youth Missionary Fund, P.O. Box 71384, Newnan, Ga., 30271.

Tami Denise Pirani

Tami Denise Pirani, 38, Peachtree City, died Nov. 5, 1998. She was born Nov. 19, 1959 in Memphis, Tenn.

Graveside services were held at Westminster Memorial Gardens with Father Jamie Cubine officiating.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Pirani Jr., Peachtree City; daughters, Lorin Pirani, Evyn Pirani and Carly Pirani, all of Peachtree City; mother, Pauline Willis Montgomery, Memphis, Tenn.; brothers, Joe Montgomery, Little Rock, Ark., and John Montgomery, Santa Fe, N.M.; and a sister, Paula (and Ron) Terhune, Arlington, Tenn.
